Surfing in Madagascar

Madagascar is one of the most sought-after places for surfing and Anakao is internationally known for its surf spots. All its spots are reef spots located on the barrier reefs around Anakao. The well-known left tube of Flame Ball, north of Nosy Ve, Tiforone or Jelly Babies, the beautiful right on the south edge of Anakao and Antoleft, offshore of Nosy Satrana, so many sites recognized by South Africans and Australians which will inspire the biggest fanatics of this sport.

The best season to surf in Madagascar is in austral winter, from June to September.
