Malagasy music
The traditional music of this southwest part of Madagascar is the « tsapika » (pronounced « tsapik »). It is a rhythmic, swinging and dancing music. It is played with traditional instruments which are made locally, especially the famous Malagasy guitar called « kabosy » (« kabos »), produced in several versions.
You will discover this music and respective dances thanks to the traditional music and dancing Vezo groups. They often come to make us discover their art and to liven up the evenings in the Longo Vezo hotel. A moment of sharing and friendliness during which artists but also staff from the hotel will introduce you to the traditional dances.
