Go to Anakao
The city of Tuléar (Toliara) is accessible by plane (flights are daily on Air Madagascar), by taxi-bush from Tananarive (Antananarivo), the capital of Madagascar and from all major cities of the country, or by private vehicle.
The transfer from Tuléar to Anakao takes place early in the morning aboard a fast and safe speedboat. We take care of the transfers ourselves by one of our three boats or entrust them to specialized companies. An alternative route is possible by road.
By sea, Anakao is located 35 km from Tulear. After leaving the port of Tuléar, you head south in the midst of the pirogues of the fishermen Vezo, you cross the tropic of the capricorn at the pass of Sarodrano, mouth of the river Onilahy, the bay of St Augustin and you discover one hour later the turquoise lagoon of Anakao, protected by a double barrier of coral.
By road you will have to travel 270 km because the bridge that crosses the river is located very inland. On board of a 4 & 4 the road is very beautiful, the ride will take you about 8 hours and will be the opportunity to cross the Mahafaly country and discover the landscapes of southwestern Madagascar.
When you arrive in Anakao, the entire Longo Vezo team will be there to welcome you.
